Genie Computing Ltd was
established in 2002 by two of the current Directors Ryan
Francis & Daryl Hickman and is now South Wales’ Premier
Family Computer Centre. After
experiencing a high growth rate the business opened its
first premises in Tonyrefail, near the Rhondda Valleys,
in April 2004, and in April 2005 it acquired another
unit increasing office and workshop space, along with
being able to boost the sales area. After further
realising the potential of its trusted business model,
during July 2006 the company expanded to gain another
retail premises, this time on the high street in nearby
Pontypridd. And in November 2006 it opened another
retail unit on Coedcae Lane, Pontyclun.
The success of the
company can largely be attributed to its ability to
provide and maintain a strategic balance between its
core business units and the retention of its strong
customer base. |

The Company’s values are
simple, growth and entrepreneurial spirit are
deep-rooted, and to nurture these it needs to be one
hundred per cent customer centric. That’s why throughout
2005 the company motto was: "Our Business is People not
PCs". In 2006 after new store openings the company
re-engineered its vision to become “A Revolution in
Computer Stores” and remain true to its innovation of
service and market position ahead of competitors. |

“We
believe home computing should be accessible to everyone
and, as a result, we are dedicated to providing a
first-class service and after-sales alongside our
emphasis on low prices”. |

As well as providing the
local area with affordable yet high quality computers, we recognise the
interdependence between our business and the community in which we
operate. Whether it be a cash donation or lending our skills or time,
helping the local community is a highly motivational experience for us.
It is because of this we have been involved in projects with primary
schools, community organisations, rugby clubs and supporting local
objectives. We are always interested in how we can be of benefit to our
community and will give serious consideration to most projects. |
